Rhymefest - The Manual
This mixtape is the latest from Rhymefest, one of the better lyricists out there in the game today. If you don't know about Rhymefest (where have you been at?) the man won a grammy as the one who wrote Jesus Walks with Kayne West, he had a dope major label release Blue Collar with his single Brand New doing some damage on the billboard charts, beating Eminem in a battle at Skribble Jam, and countless dope mixtapes and battles won. He is another reason why the midwest is so dope with rappers, not just Chicago but Detroit, Minnesota, and so on. But his work speaks for itself and does a dope native tongues tribute with a medley of songs and has a hilarious diss track to up and coming Interscope rapper Charles Hamilton and explains it all on the song. Also the standout track to me and bboys will know what's up on this song, he has a "dream" battle vs Big Daddy Kane. The man is just dope and be on the lookout for his next record El Che coming out soon.

It looks like Futura will once again be collaborating with Nike on a project. This time around, the famous graffiti/graphic artist will be utilizing the classic Air Force 1 silhouette in two subdued colorways. The kicks are slated as a Spring/Summer 2010 release, although no other information is available at the moment.

Rhymefest - Man In The Mirror
I thought that this mixtape would seem appropriate due to the tragic passing of Michael Jackson, the greatest singer/entertainer/musician of all time. This was a mixtape that Rhymefest dedicated to Michael Jackson, using Michael's songs, voices, interviews, and samples to make tracks with Mark Ronson. The mixtape is dope, Rhymefest is dope, Michael Jackson is the King. RIP to Michael Jackson-Columnist R.C.
